Verdict in Sheridan Murder Trial

BILLINGS - A Wyoming jury convicts a 19-year-old Sheridan man of murdering an elderly man in his home in 2009.

Dennis Poitra Jr. is the first of three teenagers charged with the murder of Robert Ernst, age 79, to stand trial. Prosecutors charged all three with first-degree murder, aggravated burglary and conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary.

Thursday night a jury found Poitra Jr. guilty on all three counts. Wyatt Bear Claw and Dahrmindar Vir Sen are due in court September 13th and October 25th.
