BILLINGS - A National Program dedicated to honoring America's armed forces while also helping out charities across the nation is making its way to the Magic City.

The Healing Field will make a stop in Billings September 3rd through September 11th. The organization puts on a 1,000 flag display in honor of America's servicemen and women. The event will be held at Par 3 Golf Course and runs in conjunction with the Breakfast Exchange Club's 9th annual golf tournament. So far about 100 flags have been sold, but group members say they hope to sell up to 1,400.

Healing Field Program Coordinator Kris Koessl said it would be a great event for the whole family. "People can come throughout the week, walk through the file and see which flags are in memoriam of who or in honor of anybody that they want to do. And then after the event we fold it up and deliver it to them and they can fly at their house or have it in honor of those folks."

All proceeds from flag sales will be donated to local charities. For more information on the healing field, or to purchase a flag, click on Connections.
