BILLINGS -The state of Montana is asking for more time to respond to a lawsuit brought by seven same sex couples in the state.

The suit demands the same legal protections for gay couples that are given to heterosexual, married, couples. The Montana Department of Justice had until Monday August 30th to respond to the ACLU’s suit, but they now have until October 22nd to reply to the charges.

Seven same sex couples from across Montana including one in Laurel jointly filed the complaint.

Why don't they just crawl back into their closets. Life was much better when they kept their dirty little secret to themselves.
