Second Best Enrollment Figure for RMC

BILLINGS - Rocky Mountain College is having its second-best year ever, in terms of enrollment numbers.

RMC President Mike Mace told KULR-8 News that preliminary figures show that the school has more than 1,000 students for the 2011-12 school year, of which more than 900 are full-time students.

Mace says he believes the higher number of students, as well as new programs designed to help students stay on track, will help retain students and keep them on track towards earning a degree.

"We find that we probably will see a higher level of retention," said Mace, "students at Rocky Mountain College can come away from that experience, having a really positive experience, academically, about what they accomplished."

In addition to the high enrollment numbers, Rocky also underwent an image overhaul the summer of 2011, with a new logo and website. The new logo is inspired by the emblem of Billings Polytechnic Institute, and contains the symbol of churches the Rocky is affiliated with. Mace said the new website is designed to be easily navigable for prospective students and their parents, and was designed with smartphone use in mind. Mace told KULR-8 News that more than 80% of parents now look at prospective schools via their smartphone.
