BILLINGS - The Super Bowl is less than two days away. Some local restaurants are hoping the big game brings in big money.

In Indianapolis, the teams are practicing, the half-time performers are rehearsing, and the turf is ready. Super Bowl Sunday is less than two days away and it appears everything is in place.

Back in Billings, preparations are also underway for the big game.

"For the last couple weeks, we've been putting the game plan together," said Doug Schultz Famous Dave General Manager.

Fans spend more than $50 million on food during the four days of Super Bowl weekend. Famous Dave's general manager Doug Schultz hopes his business gets a bite out of that pie. With the grill on and the sauce at the ready, Schultz said his business triples on Super Bowl Sunday.

"It's comfort food," he said. "It's delicious. It travels well. It's football food."

Pizza makes up 58% of sales on game day. Amy Sullivan, the general manager of Pizza Hut in Billings is hoping that statistic puts her business on the cutting edge of Super Bowl sales.

"It's our busiest day of the year," Sullivan said. "We plan for it weeks in advance."

Pizza Huts across the country will serve two million pizzas on Super Bowl Sunday. They'll use 90,000 gallons of marinara sauce and 1,200 tons of dough. That's five times the weight of the Statue of Liberty.

With the freezer packed with dough and the oven turned on, Sullivan said they're ready to deliver your pizzas in 30 minutes or less.

"It just kind of goes together pizza, football, and a beer," Sullivan said.

Other big sellers include chicken wings and sub sandwiches. The average Super Bowl viewer will consume 1,200 calories while watching the game. All that food has some consequences, as 7-Eleven reports the sales of antacids increase as much as 20% the day after the Super Bowl.
