Powell Incorporates Apple iPads in School

POWELL, WYOMING - Powell schools are giving students and teachers new iPads. Every middle and high school student will have one, and elementary students will share the units.

This is learning. It looks like the third graders are playing video games. They’re doing their math lessons. The principal of Southside Elementary, Ginger Sleep, said, “They are so excited about having the iPads. They are wondering about when they get to use them and how often they get to use them.”

Before they decided to put the new generation iPads in the classroom, Powell’s school board and teachers got them. Powell School Board Chairman Rob McCray said, “We want to be able to tell the parents this is how we use them so your student ought to be able to do the same.”

Why iPads? McCray says the iPad system is cheaper and more accessible than laptops and desktops. He said, “So you don’t have to have separate computer rooms for students, they don’t have to have separate machines. They can have this on their desk every day, all day.”

Powell School Superintendent Kevin Mitchell said, “This is going to increase engagement for students with faculty, and it’s immediate resource for any information that they need.”

Powell High School Senior Kyle Gilman said, “I have an app for the Internet, I have an app for all of my essays and papers, I have an app just about for everything, and it’s nice to have everything in one device.”

Powell High School Principal Bill Schwan explained, “Absences, when kids are gone on trips, you all are in activities, and you can’t be in the classroom getting that information; facetime, digital recordings.”

Schwan anticipates WiFi on the schools buses. He said, “It’s all about access, and I think this tool is going to even the playing field.”

Students, principals, and administrators are all excited about their new iPads. But, what about the teachers? The superintendent said that during their summer break, “They were hosting parties at their homes, inviting other teachers so that they could share what they learned on their iPads already.”

The district spent $700,000 on 1,400 iPads.

This race toward technology is very likely to cause even more cases of childhood cancers, diseases, and behavioral issues like depression , anxiety, and ADD. It has been shocking to see how much non ionizing radiation our children are being exposed to on a daily basis courtesy of the school system. On the youtube site ELECTROSMOG21 there is documentation of radiation levels in the school computer lab that is 24000 times the natural level that kids have been exposed to prior to the proliferation of wireless / cellular technology ( wifi in schools, cell phones, wireless home phones, cell towers everywhere, cell attennas in even more places than cell towers, etc...)

While I have yet to take readings on the EMFs emitted from an Ipad it is safe to say that there is a field present and that it will just add to our childrens toxic burden, ultimately lowering thier bodies ability to fight off disease and making them more vunerable to disease. That is my opinion based on the 2 years of research I have done. See the favorited videos on electrosmog21 for the opinions of scientists and doctors from around the world. I will post a video of the levels of radiation being emitted from an Ipad tomorrow on YOUTUBE at ELECTROSMOG21
