Lost in the Maize

BILLINGS - If you're looking to get lost over the 2010 Labor Day weekend, a local farmer can tell you 'witch' way to go.

For the 13th straight year Stephen Severe and his family spent the summer creating the "Maize at Grandpa's Farm." For 2010, the challenge takes the shape of a witch.

It might sound corny, but Severe said it's great to see kids smiling from ear to ear. "It makes me really happy," he said, "my grandkids aren't living close enough for me to see them very often, so I see other grandkids."

Severe said it typically takes visitors about 45 minutes to complete. The maize is located on 58th St. West between Grand Ave. and Rimrock Rd. and is open Wednesday through Saturday until October 30th.
