BILLINGS - The popular downtown bar Hooligan's was forced to close due to a fire that occurred Tuesday night.

The damage came after Billings fire crews responded to a blaze caused by soldering pipes on the third floor of the Acme building on the 100 block of Broadway. Hooligan's Sports Bar is on the ground level and suffered extensive water damage as a result. The owner says it's an unfortunate situation, but says they have insurance to cover the losses.

"All of our keno and slot machines, they all got soaked with water. TV's and computers, they all got soaked with water," said Sean Graves, the owner of the bar.

Most of the damage was concentrated in the casino, but water also soaked much of the bar portion as well. Graves says he hopes to have the bar re-opened by Friday or Saturday, but repairs to the casino could take up to two weeks.

Some private residences above the bar also suffered water damage. No one was hurt in the fire.
