BILLINGS - What would it take for you to shave your head? The students and faculty at Rocky Mountain College are getting clipped to help find a cure for cancer.

The first annual Hair Raising Event kicks off Saturday night at the Rocky Mountain Fortin Center. Everyone is invited to shave their heads to build cancer awareness. The inspiration for the event came from a Rocky student and a faculty member who are both battling the disease.

"I'm personally affected by breast cancer, and it's amazing to see how many people care about this topic and how many people are personally affected by it," Rocky student; Christina Mark said.

"We're doing it as a way to raise awareness to have the opportunity for people to stand in solidarity with those who have cancer and who don't have a choice about those shaving their heads," Kristi Foster; Rocky Mountain Reverend said.

All donations will go to benefit the Rocky Mountain College Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. If you would like to contribute to the cause, you can call 839-3359.
