BILLINGS - A new round of tests is underway at the site of a home explosion near Rocky Mountain College. The Billings fire marshal said about 20 investigators were on scene Monday, and will also be Tuesday, pressure testing gas lines inside and outside of the home at 1411 Granite Avenue that exploded June 8.

No was inside at the time, and no one was injured. The fire marshal said lines inside the home were tested Monday, and preliminary results showed nothing unusual. However, he said there are still some appliances that need to be tested.

Tuesday, he said they will pressure test exterior service lines. Montana Dakota Utilities has yet to restore the main natural gas line for homes in the area. Many homes are using portable gas tanks.

The fire marshal said the pressure testing could help uncover the cause of the blast that leveled the home at 1411 Granite and totaled several neighboring homes.
