BILLINGS - Nearly 100 local businessmen and women were put behind bars Thursday during a unique fundraiser.

The MDA Lock-Up took place at The Rex restaurant downtown. Jail-birds had to raise "bail" money that went directly to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The event is part of a year-long fundraising effort to send kids to MDA summer camp in 2011.

"It's great networking for all of our executives, this is our biggest lockup that we do for the year," Fundraising Coordinator Darcy Bouchard said, "It's great networking and it's great for the MDA because all of the dollars raised in Montana for the MDA stay in Montana to help all of our families."

The event raised about $55,000 Thursday that will help about 500 families in Montana.
