BILLINGS - A federal judge sentences an ex-Outlaws player to more than two years in prison for his role in a cocaine ring.

Robert Reed, age 35, pled guilty to one felony count of cocaine conspiracy in May. Prosecutors said the former wide receiver was part of a large Billings-based conspiracy that brought about 20 pounds of cocaine into the state. Investigators said Reed sold undercover police more than half a pound of cocaine.

Ringleader and former Outlaws player Shon Flores is serving six years in federal prison for his role in the ring. Andy Petek is serving two-and-a-half years, and former coach and player Chase Raynock is serving 18 months.

Reed is one of the all-time leading receivers in Outlaws history. He retired after the 2008 season and spent seasons as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator.
