BILLINGS - A nine-year-old Billings boy is recovering after he was struck by a pickup truck Friday night while riding his bicycle.

Just before 8:00 Friday night Billings Police responded to the intersection of 19th street and Wyoming Avenue. The officer on scene said both the boy and the driver of the pickup truck were headed east on Wyoming when the boy crossed in front of the truck to turn south onto 19th. The driver of the pickup was stopped at a stop sign, but they said they're unsure whether or not she saw the boy before entering the intersection. He was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent Healthcare with minor injuries.

Police said the boy was not wearing a helmet; so far no citations have been issued.
