BILLINGS - The first episode of Antiques Roadshow taped in Billings last summer aired Monday night.

The show made its first stop in Billings the week after the Father's Day Tornado.

Officials with Montana PBS said they almost had to cancel the taping after the Rimrock Auto Arena was damaged from the twister.

"They require a very large venue. They actually made special accommodations for the show to come to the existing Metra building, but when that was closed they put up some tents, moved to a different structure, and were still able to put on a show," Montana PBS Director of Programming Aaron Pruitt said.

The first episode of Billings' Antiques Roadshow aired Monday night at 7 p.m. on Montana PBS. The remaining two episodes will air at the same time on Monday April 18 and Monday the 25.

After the final show Montana PBS will offer the episodes on DVD for a pledge of $60.

Nearly 5,000 items were appraised in Billings last June. Sixty items will appear on the show.
