BILLINGS - Police say a casino patron held a would-be robber captive until authorities arrived.

Lt. Iffland with the Billings Police Department said 41-year-old Robert Scollard tried to rob Nickels Casino early Wednesday morning. Scollard allegedly walked into the casino and demanded money from the casino attendant. A patron heard Scollard demand the money held him until police arrived.

Scollard is facing attempted robbery charges and will appear in court at a later date.
