WASHINGTON, DC - Tom Siebel, the founder of the Montana Meth Project, was on Capitol Hill Tuesday.
He's touted the success of the Meth Project in Montana. "Today we're announcing with the Center for Disease Control and the Montana office of Public Instruction that teen meth use in Montana has declined 45% in the last two years," Siebel said. "There is no precedent for such a decline."
An upcoming spending bill includes half a million dollars for the Montana Meth Project, and Senators Jon Tester and Max Baucus also put aside $180,000 dollars in another bill to fund meth research at the University of Montana.
Siebel said he hopes to expand the project to many other states.
