BILLINGS - Clean hands and a catchy tune helped Billings Clinic win a national YouTube video contest this week.

The winning video features dozens of Billings Clinic healthcare professionals demonstrating hand hygiene practices while singing a version of the "Hokey Pokey."

The video beat 19 other entries from medical centers across the nation and helped the clinic score a $5,000 dollar educational grant.

Those who put the video together say the song was a fun way to share a serious message.

"Hand washing is probably the most important thing we can do as healthcare workers and people in the community to prevent illness," said Jackie Hines, Director of Surgical Services.

I found this video on You Tube that really shows how germs and viruses spread. It is so cool. It's meant for kids but I even learned a lot! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56mq1t1BqfY
