BILLINGS - The Texas man who killed a Missoula couple in an alcohol-related traffic accident in 2008 is sentenced.

"I wish I could bring them back and give my life for them, I would in a heartbeat," said Corey Jay as he addressed the court, "but I can't do that, and I wish if could, I'm sorry."

Wednesday morning Corey Jay received a 30 year term with 10 suspended to the State Department of Corrections. Jay crossed the I-90 median in October 2008, crashing head-on into a car carrying David Hanson and Janice Thomas of Missoula. They died shortly thereafter.

Prosecutors said Jay was drunk, but jurors disagreed convicting him of a lesser offense. Jay was found guilty in December of two counts of felony negligent homicide and two counts of negligent endangerment.
