Plea in Alcohol Related Death

BILLINGS - A woman accused in an alcohol-related accident that took the life of her young daughter appears in court Monday.

Kacy Laingen appeared visibly emotional as she pled guilty to one count of vehicular homicide while under the influence. Court officials said on October 21, Laingen was under the influence when she flipped her minivan on Scandia Road killing her ten-year old daughter Mackenzie Reffalt.

Officials said Laingen's blood alcohol content at the time of the crash was more than one-and-a-half times the legal limit.
