St. Vincent Healthcare Denies Wrongdoing

BILLINGS - Saint Vincent Healthcare responds to a federal labor law complaint.

The National Labor Relations Board filed a complaint against St. V's alleging the hospital illegally interfered with attempts by nurses to unionize.

The complaint accuses hospital management of violating the National Labor Relations Act prohibiting employers from interfering with employees' efforts to organize.

Spokeswoman, Jeanelle Slade, said the hospital denies violating the law. In a written statement she said:

"We are proud of the way the campaign was conducted. We had an excellent turnout and the election results speak for themselves."

THEY VOTED NO - LEAVE THEM ALONE. If you are so concerned about the employees voice then LISTEN TO THEM. They know that your unions are wrong. Union Hypocrites

I am convinced that St.V's administration intimidated the nurses about unionizing. The unprofessional way that the administration has handled the closing of Yellowstone Heart Center and leaving about 14 people unemployed. I know many of these healthcare workers. They are functioning ina "hostile work environment," because the office manager is "lurking around" and listening in on conversations to the patients, to make sure they don't give any "unauthorized" information to patients. These people are developing ulcers from all the pressure. The patients, many of whom are elderly, are confused and frustrated.
