BILLINGS - Firefighters used jaws of life to free a young boy after a traffic accident on King Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Police officers said a silver Chevy was traveling South on King. The driver tried to turn left in front of an oncoming pickup, which broad sided the Chevy.

Firefighters extricated the 6-year-old boy about 15 minutes after arriving on scene. An ambulance took the boy to a local hospital. Officers said his injuries were mild, and said no one else was injured in the crash.
