BILLINGS - Murder charges are dropped against a Florida man accused of killing a Billings man last summer.

Amasa Niles, 37, is accused of fatally shooting Troy Holland, 29, at the Rainbow Motel last August. But as part of a plea agreement, the murder charge will be dropped upon sentencing.

Monday, the Yellowstone County attorney added tampering with evidence to the charges. Tuesday, Niles pleaded guilty to that charge and to possession with intent to distribute.
