BILLINGS - A new generation of anglers took advantage of the beautiful weather Sunday by getting a free fly-fishing lesson.

The kids practiced on the lawn in front of Cabela's. Employees from the store's fly shop showed the budding fishermen the right way to cast. But the youngsters weren't fishing for trout; they were fishing for prizes. A good cast won them hats, keychains, and even fishing rods.

"What a better way to have fun than to come outside with a bunch of kids and teach them an outdoor skill that they're going to have the rest of their lives," Cabela's Events Coordinator Drew Steinberger said. "And this is a great place to do it."

The event was part of a full weekend of seminars at Cabela's.

It would be nice if the picture showed the child using fly gear rather spin cast tackle
