Billings Man Arrested for Child Sexual Assault

BILLINGS - A Billings man is in custody after allegedly sexually assaulting a boy under the age of 12.

Twenty-four-year-old James Gauna is being held without bail at the Yellowstone County Detention facility on charges of sexual intercourse without consent.

Billings police didn't specify the day, but said the attack happened after school along an irrigation ditch near 17th Street West. Police say the boy was able to escape and run home.

Police arrested Gauna Thursday night.
