BILLINGS - Investment firm Edward Jones held several seminars Thursday educating more than 300 billings community members about what they can do with their fixed income finances during tough economic times.

The seminar featured keynote speaker Mario De-Rose. He is the chief fixed income strategist for Edward Jones. De-Rose said the economy is beginning to improve but said it's hard to tell how long it will take to recover. That's why he said its important investors are prepared for any circumstance. "No one can really predict what's going to happen in the future. so its important that you prepare your portfolio for whatever we might see instead of trying to predict what happens. And if you're wrong you can really hurt your portfolio down the road."

De-Rose said it's never too early to start financial planning, and he encourages those who are looking into financial investments to consult a professional.
