BILLINGS - The nation's second largest video store chain is closing two of its Billings businesses.

After filing for bankruptcy earlier this month, Movie Gallery announced that it will shut down its two Grand Avenue locations within the next 8 weeks. During that time, the stores will continue to rent new releases, while selling the remaining DVDs.

Four of the company's other area stores will remain open.

"I'm very sad," said Kaydee Desjarlais. "I like to come here on Tuesdays and get the new movies and now, there's no movie store here."

Movie Gallery is closing 760 stores nationwide.

The competition between Redbox and Movie Gallery wont matter in 6 months when there are no Movie Gallerys in the Billings area.. Company should of put a little more thought into the ridiculous powerplay option.
