Small Helper, Big Heart

ROUNDUP - Help for some of Haiti's smallest victims will come from a 10-year-old Roundup girl.

Sophie Saltzman is collecting comfort goods, such as soft toys, pillows and blankets for children in Haiti. Sophie got the idea after watching a telethon for disaster relief. She's teaming up with a local pastor who will deliver the items in March.

Sophie Saltzman said, “When a little kid loses something that's important to their heart, like friends or family, they should get something to hug and hold to fill that broken spot in their heart.”

Those interested in donating can drop off items at the Heights Pet Center.
