BILLINGS - Nearly 50 years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. inspired thousands with his human rights speeches. In honor of Dr. King, Not in Our Town is hosting a variety of events to commemorate the civil rights leader.

Sunday night the group hosted an interface service at the Beth Aaron Congregation Jewish Synagogue on Broadwater. The service included a wide range of readings and worship from all faiths and backgrounds as well as a sermon written by King.

The celebration continues Monday morning on the MSU-B campus with a traditional ringing of the bell ceremony. A candlelight vigil will also be held Monday night on the courthouse lawn followed by a march to the Lincoln Center.
