BILLINGS - Billings Police officials say they now have a name to go with the person they say is seen on surveillance video cashing stolen checks. They say the man in the video is 18-year old Dylan Hart of Billings.

They say Hart cashed some of the checks at three banks, one in Laurel and two in Billings. The amount cashed totaled over $1,500 dollars.

Police say the checks came from a purse that was stolen at Rimrock Mall on December 23rd.

Hart is described as as having reddish hair, piercing and some facial hair. The suspect vehicle is described as a white older Chevy Malibu with dark tinted windows.

Anyone with information is asked to call Billings police at 657-8200.

Finally getting what he deserves. Karma will bite you in the end. Maybe he shoulda thought twice before killing Garrett. Sick freak.

Regardless how you all feel about this crime. It is a crime and the young man needs to be punished. And if the young lady spent any stolen money she needs to be sentenced as well

GOTTA AGREE WITH GRIZ. I'VE BEEN IN THIS TYPE OF SITUATION BEFORE WHEN MY WALLET WAS STOLEN. UNFOTUNATELY THE CRACK HEAD(S) WERE NEVER CAUGHT. BUT A GARBAGE MAN FROM THE NEXT TOWN OVER FOUND IT IN THE TRASH CAN AT THE LOCAL PARK AND TURNED IT IN.

there is no point in sitting here and discriminating others do you not have anything else to do besides call people scum.. just remember karma will probably catch them before us so just let them be karma will bring them to the courts and he will get wat he deserves

I have had my purse stolen, $2000 dollars worth of bad checks on your credit that I didn't write. I'm a little bitter. hope this kid grows up to be a fine upstanding adult, then I'm gonna steal his wallet..

To my supporter we cant change the times we are in but we can make a difference if we show our kids to be good young adults.My kids will never be like this dirt bag he will get what is comming to him.

To jj again it just so happens that today i was a local business and used their rest room that is for both sexes and behold there was a ladys purse next to the toilet.Guess what i gave it to the manager of this place and made sure he called the owner as i was standing there .It never crossed my mind to open it because i have respect for others and tell you the truth the youth of today dont care about you or anyone else all they care about is themselves

to jj i know my words are strong but if this was someone in your family would you be so understanding? or worse if they decided to take on this persons identity do you know what kind of damage this will do to the innocent victims? do you know someone that this happend to well i do its me and it is no picnic i would prefer to walk on broken glass next time rather than trying to prove i am me .

If it were your purse u would feel the same way. This kid is an adult and should know better by now. He knew exactly what he and his little girlfriend was doing.You have no idea.

@griz: that's a pretty horrible thing to say... if forgery makes someone undeserving of "breathing", what does that make any of the rapists, murderers, wife beaters, etc? I personally feel that this kid needs to get some serious help, BEFORE it gets turned into one of the above mentioned heineous crimes. Scum- sure. Doesn't deserve to breathe? What an aweful, horrible, thing to say.
