City Brew Wreck

BILLINGS - A car crashed into a Billings coffee shop Monday night.

Nineteen-year-old Jacob Thielen was driving westbound on Grand Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle, slamming into the City Brew at 17th Street West and Grand Ave. It happened at about 7:15 p.m. Monday evening.

Thielen was cited for careless driving and driving without insurance. Witnesses said it appeared the driver was under control until he over-corrected.

"It looked like he was driving you know, just regular flow of traffic down Grand Avenue,” said Logan Fousha, who was a couple of car lengths behind, “and it looked like the back end skidded out and lost control of the vehicle and ran right into City Brew."

The driver did not report any injuries and City Brew did not have any significant damage.

how about not accusing a teen driver of being every other typical teen because of his age. there are responsible teen drivers out there.

Perhaps it would be nice for a CHANGE if the city would actually clear the streets sometime this winter....the steets have been terrible this year and the "IDIOT 500" typical daily traffic gets worse when streets are left to the icy conditions

what about just handing over all of your personal rights (Frank & JJ) if you like Canada, now may be the time for you to move.....

@FrankRoberts: That is SUCH a good idea! With all the accidents that leave the victims stuck with huge bills and the offenders off with a ticket, it needs to go into effect.

I like Canada's insurance laws. When you license and register your vehicle you prepay your insurance for one year. No insurance---no license.

There was NO note made of him being on a cell phone. And for the record, the roads were a little icy last night. If we're suppose to pick on the younger people with drivers licenses, then we better pick on the older people who can't see well, hear well, or just can't pay attention. I've been driving for a very long time, but I can almost guarentee that the people who complain about younger drivers are way WORSE drivers.

Make him pay to go to a driving school out of his own pocket and take his license away till 21. Another jerk putting our lives in danger and if he wrecks your car hey who cares you probably have insurance!
