I-90 Accident

LAUREL - Slick roads were a factor in an accident on I-90 at the Laurel exit Tuesday night.

Montana highway patrol officers say at about 7 p.m. Tuesday night a sugar beet truck slid off the road. No one was seriously hurt, but the slide off caused a domino effect and officers were still trying to clear the road as of 10 p.m.

Traffic was diverted while crews attempted to clean up the road.

i happen to know and care about the people involved in this accident. i think we should all just be thankful no one was hurt. let this be a wake up call to all of us that the winter weather in WY and MT can be very deceiving.

I gave my two week notice at work, retained a law firm and just finished installing several video cameras in my car. I figure I can make a pretty good living when I let all these idiots simply run into me while I stay in my lane and hold my course obeying all traffic laws. It sure beats diving into the ditches and medians when these idiots pull out right in front of me.I'm about sick of it.

Bottom line is people around here drive like they are the only car on the road. Yesterday while driving west on 1st ave N three trucks pulled out right in front of me from the right, illegally crossed into the center lane where I was and caused me to hit my brakes hard. All three trucks had found their way back to the right lane by the time they got to the stop lights at the other end...they didnt even need to be in the center lane to begin with.

I have problems with the way MT takes care of the roads. They supposedly don't use salt because it could rust your vehicle, but the roads are so slippery they have "do not call" days because so many people get into accidents. Would you rather have MAYBE a dime size spot of rust after 10 years or your whole front end taken out with potential injuries??? Careless driving is also a major factor in this town. Do people know what a blinker is????

to let you know the truck driver is my son in law and to claer things he was not speeding.the truck was empty and the front end slid.the pick up also slid in the same area and ended up hitting the last trailer.and i agree the city and state should be doing a much better job.

YO Idiot... The accident was on the interstate so why would the city be sanding out there? And secondly, the city roads are covered to the best they can be, with the resources.

IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICE THEY ARE OUT AND IF YOU WOULD GIVE THEM TIME TO DO THERE JOBS AND PEOPLE WOULDN'T DRIVE LIKE IDIOTS BEWARE OF YOU SURROUNDINGS LESS ACCIDENTS

the city should be putting crews out sanding the high trafic areas so these accidents don't happen or happen less... also should put crews sanding in residential areas when the weather is like it has been... do something for the big money we pay them instead of sitting around an doing nothing to prevent accidents..
