BILLINGS - Investigators are still searching for the cause of Tuesday's fire that destroyed nearly $1-million dollars worth of equipment belonging to Carbon County.

A state fire marshal and a private investigator spent the afternoon trying to figure out what started the fire, and exactly how much was lost.

Fire fighters were called to the road department shop just after 5 a.m. Tuesday. More than 40 firefighters responded from Red Lodge and Roberts. No injuries were reported.
