BILLINGS - Billings Logan Airport sees no delays and flights have plenty of open seats on one of the busiest travel days of the year.

Airport staff said there was a rush around noon Wednesday, but air travel was lighter than most holidays. About 1,100 people jetted in and out of Billings Wednesday. That's more than last year when the airport had one of its slowest Thanksgivings ever.

The airport said it's still fairly typical, falling short of highs registered prior to last year. "It was more like a busy summer day," said Assistant Director of Aviation and Transit Kevin Ploehn. "June hits and usually we have pretty full flights leaving and it was similar to that," he said, "not a situation where people are scrambling to get that last seat."

Greyhound Bus Lines said it also experienced a slight increase in ticket sales Wednesday.
