Baucus in Favor of Bill

BILLINGS - The key vote on whether to start debate on a proposed health care reform bill in the Senate comes Saturday night, but both sides argued again Friday over the public option and who pays and who is covered under the Democrats' $890-billion dollar plan.

To formally begin debate, Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, needs 60 senators, that's every Democrat. Senator Max Baucus, D-Montana, said he intends to vote in favor of it.

The Democrat, who has advocated more moderate proposals than other party leaders, has been a key figure in the debate all year.
However, Baucus is in Helena this week with his ill mother. He will have to fly back to Washington, D.C. on Saturday to make the key procedural vote.

His office says that the senator will make the vote, "barring any unforeseen circumstances."

The U.S. House has already approved a health care bill that also includes a government-run public option.

This bill is a budget buster by all accounts and our senator thinks we can afford it! He even wrote some of it...I will NOT vote for him again, ever.

You people are funny. Bush did whatever he wanted and where was all this whining? Obama has been in for 10 months and people have whined the whole time. Republicans get a clue. Max isn't up for re-election so he is not worried what us little people think. Call -- write or what ever it takes to let Tester know that he was sent to Washington to represent all of Montana and not just the extreme left liberal socialists of his party.

In poll after poll after poll across America, Americans have stated they do not want a government-run public option in any healthcare reform It is time for all Americans to rise up against the Obama playbook before it is too late. Get rid of people like Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Emanuel, Axelrod and anyone else that thinks they can do anything they choose in Washington. The same goes for Baucus and Tester...the time has come for Americans to take back America from the tyranny in Washington!

After all the BS and rhetoric put out by Baucus over the last 9 months about never supporting a public option, he is going to vote for it after all! Max Baucus and Jon Tester, just like all of the other wimpy spineless Democrats in the Senate and the House, are going to cave in to the pressure of the leading idiots, Obama, Pelosi and Reid. We all hope you rot in your graves together for giving away our great country, and the freedoms our founding fathers sanctioned in the Constitution!

Wow! Baucus has flip flopped on this issue like a fish on the sand! He took $4 million from Big Insurance and Big Pharmaceuticals, said he was AGAINST any Public Option, then for it, then against it, now for it. Please vote this millionaire OUT OF OFFICE next time!
