BILLINGS - Nearly 100 people receive free dental work in Yellowstone County Friday.

Riverstone Health pre-screened 92 people earlier this month, and Friday qualifying individuals got free dental work through the ‘Give Back a Smile’ event. Sixteen area dentists in Billings, Broadview, and Laurel donated time, work, and supplies.

Dentist Christopher Hirt said it's one of the few days of the year that people like seeing the dentist.

"I don't think anyone really enjoys coming to the dentist, but everyone we've had in here have just been very thankful and very grateful,” he said, “these are the sort of toothaches that have been keeping people up at night they can't function, they can't eat, and they've just been so grateful for us to get them to a place where they can just resume a normal life.”

Dentists hope to make ‘Give Back a Smile’ an annual event.

Try Dr. Kevin Brewer - his office has a free dentistry day too, usually around valentines day. but you could call and ask.
