BILLINGS - A Reed Point man is arrested after his rifle allegedly discharged in the middle of a bar fight.

The Stillwater County Sheriff Department said 51-year-old Ricky Witz was taken into custody on suspicion of felony assault with a weapon.

Authorities say Witz got into an altercation with a Big Timber man at The Watering Hole Saloon in Reed Point before 9 pm Tuesday night. Investigators said during the fight, Witz pulled out a rifle and pointed it at the man. Another patron pushed the rifle away right before one round was fired off.

Nobody was hurt in the incident.
