BILLINGS - A former Billings bus driver accused of driving drunk and hitting a teenager is captured in Washington state.

Tim Whalen was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon by the Washington State Patrol after a traffic stop in the northeastern Washington town of Republic.

Whalen is charged in Yellowstone County with four felonies including negligent vehicular assault after allegedly driving his school bus while drunk and striking a teenager in a crosswalk. The girl was treated and released for minor injuries. Court records say Whalen's blood alcohol level registered .118 several hours after the accident. County officials said last week they believed Whalen had fled the state.

No word on when he will be brought back to Montana to face charges.
