BILLINGS - Federal prosecutors said Wednesday they have shut down a cocaine trafficking ring linked to the Billings Outlaws football team.

Former defensive back, 32-year-old Shon Flores, has admitted to trafficking nearly 20 pounds of cocaine in Billings and across the state from August 2008 to June 2009.

Two Billings women named as Flores' co-conspirators, also pleaded guilty to federal drug charges Wednesday. Tara Rauschendorfer, 24, who lives with Flores, is accused of picking up drugs from Salt Lake City, handling money during drug deals and selling cocaine.

Court documents said 28-year-old Athena Beaumont of Billings bought cocaine from Flores and distributed it to another drug dealer.

Prosecutors said the cocaine conspiracy includes a loosely knit group of current and former players with the indoor football league. Their customers included business owners, professionals and salesman.

Flores played for Montana State and later played for the Outlaws for six years before leaving in 2006. Sentencing for Flores' is set for February 10.

Aye, thats crazy! I played with the Outlaws in 2001 and with Shon and Chase. Of course, I went on to do bigger and better things, but I always thought that Shon was a cool dude. What really surprises me was Chase Raynock's involvement! wow! Oh well, guess you can never judge a book by its cover!

We had the Firebirds for ten years and avg att of 10,500 fans per game, and we won the AFL Champs, how were we rewarded, they relocated to Indianapolis for 1 year and went defuct. No more Firebirds. And they couldn't get the fans to watch because of the Colts we've got the Colts who wants the Firebirds, BAD MISTAKE

If you don't support your minor league teams why on earth would a major league team come to your town. Look at the postings, hang em high no proof that any current Outlaws were involved. Look when people get arrested they sing for freedom, or anyone who comes to mind.

What looks better 2 guys arrested or two former players for the Billings Outlaws, Don't dog your team or they will relocate and you will have nothing. Support goes a long way.

The Outlaws have done Jack S*** for this community and yes there were current coaches involved and I'm sure the past players who were involved were dealing when they were on the team. And to call the IFL a "Premeir" league is an oxy moron. Indoor football is a joke and so are these Outlaw CLOWNS!

Also there where no current players involved, so good job of htis news dept to really screw stuff up. thirdly the outlaws are professional the IFL is the new premiere indoor football league. And actualy none of them came from LA Detroit or new orleans. So idk what you are trying to imply...

They suck..PERIOD! These guys make no money so I guess they can't buy their way out of this one. We need some real sports in this town, not this amatuer minor league indoor "Football" if you want to call it that. These guys are no talent washed up NFL wanna be's!

Should we send Chase Raynock back to Detroit or LA? He is from the Heights. Went to Skyview and UM.

I suspect that when the names of those business owners, salespeople, and professionals are released we will be even more suprised.

There is a reason they are called the outlaws! Send them all back to Detroit or L.A. or New Orleans where ever it is that bunch came from.
