BILLINGS - Billings voters will select a new mayor as well as the fate of four city council seats Tuesday.

Officials with the Yellowstone County election office said Monday night that so far 22,671 mail-in ballots had been returned for this year's city election.

They expect about 25,000 voters to participate by the time polls close; that is just less than 40% voter turnout.

Ballots can be dropped off Tuesday at one of five locations across Billings: at the court house, Bench Elementary, Riverside Middle School, Faith Evangelical Church, Laurel High School.

Ballots postmarked November 3 will not be accepted. You are also reminded to sign the white envelope you return your ballot in.
