BILLINGS - Billings police have arrested a man for the robberies of six area casinos. Twenty-five-year-old Daniel Osse was arrested on felony charges of robbery. Police arrested him earlier this week on misdemeanor charges of traffic violations. He posted bond and was back on the streets.
Police captured him again at 1:30 a.m. Friday after a tip from someone at the High Stakes Casino. Sergeant Mark Kirkpatrick said he hopes more charges will be filed. "We decided to lock down and continue our investigation," he said, "By doing so we were able to get a felony robbery charge and we hope that when our investigation is complete and reviewed we get a second charge of felony theft through common scheme."
This is a charge that can be given to people for commit a string of thefts. When police searched Osse's car they found a handgun, but say he did not use it at any of his alleged thefts.
