592nd Prepares for Deployment

BILLINGS - More Montana soldiers prepare to leave their families in September to serve our country.

One hundred eleven soldiers in the U.S. Army Reserve's 592nd Ordnance Company leave for Afghanistan on September 14. It is a one-year deployment for the ammunition company. About half of the soldiers live in Billings, and the rest are from across the state. It will be the second or third deployment for many. They will hold a deployment ceremony on Sunday, September 12 at West High at 11 a.m.

The 592nd joins more than 800 other Montana troops deploying overseas in September.
