Crowd Tells Rehberg of Fear

BILLINGS - Montana Congressman Denny Rehberg hosted a town hall meeting in Columbus and got an earful from an overflow crowd.

A standing room only crowd poured into the Columbus City Hall voicing their opinions to "It's pretty reminiscent of big brother," said one attendee.

"When they tell you the economy is getting better, they're lying," explained another. The group also questioned the direction the country is headed. "This is a huge mistake that's happening in this nation," said a voice from the back of the room against the wall.

The town hall brought Americans from all walks of life together in the same room. A small business owner working through the pains of the recession, a scientist wanting an opinion on emission allowances, and a retiree worried about healthcare. The group might be small but their stories mimic the same angst and struggles many Americans go through everyday.

Rehberg addressed the crowd's questions and put in his own two cents. "We should not be looking at ways to spend money during the recession. We should be looking at ways to reduce government spending."

But make no mistake the faces of these people tell the story, the uneasiness, and the worry as America pushes to get out of the global slump.

Congressman Rehberg also visited Big Timber and Livingston for similar listening sessions Thursday afternoon. He plans on stopping in sixteen counties before returning to the national capital.

only a Bobble head would make a senseless comment like Oh No wrote. All this fear mongering tripe is indicative of the unsophisticated 'conservative' who has zero comprehension of History, Politics the I me mine crowd is boued by stupidity.

folks dont waste your time talking to obamas left wing one nation bobble heads.see they are out to put us in the same catagory as the muslims,chineese,russia, venezuela and many other countries.All i can say is THANKS TO ALL YOU OBAMA LOVERS NOW THIS COUNTRY WILL BECOME SOCIALISTIC REPUBLIC {THANKS OBAMA FOR NADA} GOD HELP US ALL!
