Ad Targets Senator Baucus

BILLINGS - The Progressive Change Campaign Committee released an ad Tuesday targeting Sen. Max Baucus on health care reform.

The group is rallying support in favor of a public health care option, something they say 76% of Americans support and insurance companies oppose. Sen. Baucus is leading reform on the Senate Finance Committee and has yet to include a public option. The ad lists contributions the democratic senator has received from insurance companies and health care professionals.

In response to the ad Baucus' press secretary Tyler Matsdorf says, "As Senator Baucus continues to work to pass meaningful health care reform that lowers costs and improves quality, he is looking at all options and is only driven by one thing: what is right for Montana and the country. He will continue working together with the President, his colleagues in Congress and groups and individuals from across Montana and the nation on a bill that can ensure quality care, lower costs and pass the Senate."

The ad starts airing in Billings, Butte, Bozeman and Helena Wednesday and lasts one week, unless more funding is raised for more airtime.

Why is the hierarchy of the Republican Party doing nothing to educate the public on the parts of the bill no one wants to talk about,ie-Government control of our checking accounts--deciding who is worthy of receiving health care, and many more un-constitutional additions. For shame.

We don't need the Government meddling in the insurance business no more than we need them in the banking business. Obama is turning us into a Socialist state. We will be making sure every drug dealer and gangster has health insurance and we will be paying for it. I know a lot of people who don't have health insurance because they say they can't afford it but they can afford cigarettes, booze, new cars and all sorts of personal entertainment for themselves but insurance costs too much. NO to FHIS

Health Care is a Right, NOT something Granted by Corporations. The issue is Capitalism, the problem is Predatory Capitalism. It's been going on in the health care insurance/pharma industry since it began. It was founded on a strategy called DENIAL...for profit. The Profit / Stockholder model for health care is a CURSE. Do not try to sleep with this anathema, there can be no bargaining or hand holding with profiteers; You can't rehabilitate a Predator, they must exit the field en total.

This Socialist President will ruin this country if left unchecked...Gov't control has not succeeded in any other country....We need Tort reform, fewer illegals damaging the system and more personal health care responsibility...Keep Gov't curtailed and less involved in our lives....

The only thing that Max Baucus is working for is Max Baucus!! This has been the only thing he's been working for for the last several times he's gone back to HIS HOME IN D.C. As usual his press secretary has ananswer for everything but then he's had plenty of practice. We desperately need to get somebody into his place that actually cares about our state and not their state of finances!
