BILLINGS - Officials release the name of a man who died after he was struck by lightning at the Celebrate Freedom event in Billings' Heights Saturday night.

Officials say 26-year-old Blake Harmon was playing on a hilly grass area on the southeast end of Castle Rock Park when he was struck just before 8 p.m. Saturday.

Medical teams responded shortly after, giving Harmon CPR until he could be transported to St. Vincent Healthcare, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Fire officials report the strike was unusual since witnesses said there wasn't a loud cracking sound accompanying the lightning bolt.

Two other men were transported to the hospital around the same time. The first suffered seizures, the second had an asthma attack.
