South Frontage Accident Update

BILLINGS - Three people in a serious accident on South Frontage Road in Billings are on the mend.

Officials say 19-year-old Matthew Nygard and 18-year-old Jessica Umphrey are both in fair condition. Authorities say Thursday; a small car driven by Umphrey was heading westbound on South Frontage Road when it tried to make a left hand turn onto Zoo Drive and collided with an SUV.

Nygard, Umphrey, and an 8-year-old girl were all taken to the hospital. Officials are not releasing the name of the child and her condition is not known at this time. The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
