Bike for Cancer

BILLINGS - A bicyclist with a mission rode through Billings this week; Craig Broeder is bicycling across the country to raise money for ovarian cancer research.

His wife is a 20-year survivor, which inspired Broeder to celebrate by bicycling 9,000 miles in 100 days. He says although he has constant support from his wife, it's still difficult.

"I am constantly tired from probably about the second or third week because we have to ride whether it's raining or super hot. The first week was all down south through the desert so it was hot and we had thunderstorms and had a driver have a snakebite."

As of Thursday, Broeder had traveled around 4,000 miles and says by the time he reaches Bismarck, ND, he will have completed about half of his goal.
