COOKE CITY - Montanans who get their water from the Cooke City water system are on a boil order until further notice.

One of 5 water samples taken on June 15th came back positive for E. Coli. No illnesses were reported as of June 29th. Crews are working on the system and hope to find the source of contamination.

Until the problem is fixed everyone on the water system is being asked to boil their drinking supply and restaurants in the area are using bottled water.
