BILLINGS - Kids at the Friendship House got an early Easter treat Thursday, despite the snowy weather.

About 50 kindergarten through 6th grade kids gathered in the gym at the Friendship House for games, races and Easter candy. Event coordinators for the Friendship house say they always hold special events during the holidays for the kids because some might not get something special at home.

"We just like to give them extra special things. Their families are worried about paying rent and buying food rather than Easter eggs, toys, things like that," says Debby Lane, a special events coordinator.

Coordinators originally planned an egg hunt at South Park, but the snow moved them inside.
