BILLINGS - A Billings woman is recovering at home following an accident on a snow vehicle.

Rescue officials in Bighorn County, Wyoming, said 65-year-old Peggy Parker was on a snow vehicle with her husband in the Crystal Creek area of the Bighorn Mountains when their vehicle rolled, trapping Parker in the snow. They said she suffered spinal injuries and was transported by Life Flight to Billings Clinic. Her husband says she has a few broken ribs, but is recovering at home.

Sheriff Ken Blackburn said this is the fifth time they've made a rescue in that area since the first of the year. "It's a lot of mountainous country where snowmobilers can do whatever they want," he said. "And we encourage that. But with that comes increased traffic and increased usage comes increased emergencies. And we're starting to feel the effects of that."

Sheriff Blackburn added that the snow can be very unpredictable this time of year as the temperature fluctuates.
