BILLINGS - As President-Elect Barack Obama continues to appoint people to his staff, congressman Denny Rehberg is encouraging Obama to leave one position alone.

Rehberg sent a letter to Obama asking him to re-appoint U.S. Marshal Dwight MacKay in Montana. Rehberg says MacKay is a solid, bi-partisan choice.

"There's no reason for it to be a Republican or Democrat. Essentially it's a position that crosses all party lines and so that's why it would be a natural fit. I don't think there's a partisan bone in his body," said Rehberg.

MacKay was appointed U.S. Marshal in 2001 during President Bush's first term.
